About this IT blog

My name is Martin Pihl, A Danish guy who works with a lot of different Information Technologies in different environments. On a daily basis I work at the consultant house Bleau A/S, www.bleau.dk, where my primary role is to coordinate our company support efforts, as well as being in charge of the internal operational parts.

Also, in the last 3-4 years I have been very active in building the Danish Ubuntu community. If you do not know what Ubuntu is, you should have a quick look here: http://www.ubuntu.com/products/whatisubuntu. The one major thing I have done is to create the Danish Ubuntu help forums, but also creating Ubuntu Denmark as an official association and being the representative of it. Beside being af official member of Ubuntu, I also have a blog with mainly Ubuntu-related blog at http://martinpihl.dk/words (mostly in Danish).

Although being very fund of this amazing Linux distribution, I’m in no way religious about it. It’s just technology (and a little bit of ideology), and do also work with Microsoft technologies (for better or worse).

This blog is about sharing what I learn in my daily work with the various technologies that comes before my hand. It will contain articles and how to’s as much for my own purpose, and so I have one place to find previously acquired knowledge, as it will be for sharing that knowledge. I have my roots in the Open Source communities, and sharing knowledge is what I find more important than anything else. Developement comes from this as much as it comes from funds…

Enjoy the blog :-)
