So I accidentally deleted the joomla folder. But the database its still there untouched..Is it posible that I re-install joomla and connect it with the old database and have all my articles and files back as it was?

I want to customize ubuntu and put it on a disk so it is like a new ubuntu, but customized. For Example, gOS. But I don’t know how to put it on the disk, plz tell me how.

I hosted my new site from powweb, and did a little work on it, then I downloaded joomla and I am navigating through joomla trying to find how to upload my material from powweb? I tried to get into powweb website maker and it doesn’t work… obviously because I downloaded joomla. Now, I also can’t access joomla from powweb, I have to go to the joomla website. If someone could help me out that would be great because i’m very confused!!!!!! This is my first time ever making a site so… speak english! Thanks!

I need 2 set up wordpess through a webhost…
i know i have to download wordpress but whats a good host to go with? and after i set up an account with a host, how difficult is the set up before I can begin building a site? and last but not least, can i still import the free wordpress templates?

Can I use Google apps as my mail server and host my webpages on another server?

I had a customer the other day which had to move a bunch of websites from a shared Windows 2003 server with IIS 6. The webhosting company was nice to zip them all to me and export the site-configs to XML.

So when I wanted to setup the websites on the customers new server with IIS 7, I went looking for a “New website (from file) feature similar to the one in IIS 6. But where was that?

In my company network we have a few applications that a lot of employees uses one a regular basis which gets updated by the users. For instance we use mRemote on a Terminal Service server to store various remote desktop connections to our internal servers as well as customer servers.

Because the connection list gets updated by a lot of different users, it is neccesary for people to login to the server and use the same application.

So I turned to the option of Remote Applications which came with Windows Server 2008, so my users wouldn’t have to remote desktop to the server with the mRemote application. Here is how to set it up with web interface access:

Recently I became administrator of a Microsoft Dynamics CRM installation after been using one for a couple of years. And there is so many things to learn, and the fact that Microsoft CRM seems to have some sort of its own internal logic does not make it any easier.

We are running our support through CRM, so whenever somebody sends a support request through our online form og send an email directly to the support mail address, it gets tracked in CRM and converted to a case by a workflow. Our project managers assigns all the development related cases to our developers, but have to tell them that a case has arrived.

So i wanted to setup a workflow, that would send an email whenever a case was assigned, to the one the case was assigned to. But I had more trouble making the workflow than I expected, and googling the issue, didn’t offer me much more insight on the matter. Finally I got it to work, and here is how I did it.
